Sorry for the newb question, but I need a little direction on how to learn more about this. I’m a tech consultant for a small company that needs to fix/update an app (iOS and Android) for a wearable device. The original company who made it is no longer viable (there was a business falling out), so now another company is needing to tackle the fixes. I have no idea how that works – is it even possible for another company to take over? How do they get access to the code, etc.?
Can anyone also give me an idea about how an app interfaces with a wearable device? I believe this one uses bluetooth, and it’s dropping the connection sporadically. I’m not a developer/programmer, but I have to be on a call about this next week because I’m the “tech” person, but I don’t have the first clue about how all of this works. Any guidance is helpful. I need a crash course.
