Ideal Development Team Roles

First post here. I scrolled through a lot of the sub thread history and didn’t see this, so apologies if it’s already been answered previously…

I’m looking to put together a high-level list of roles for a functional development team. We are responsible for ETL into our own SQL environment, as well as web UI design and back-end programming via ASP.NET. We work in an Agile environment and have a separate PM team that we work with that will handle business interactions.

On your ideal team, would a DBA type be required outside of the database developers being that we’re responsible for housing all of the data in a database that we manage? Would a technical lead/engineer be required above the software developers or would the manager be responsible for those duties?

Keen to get some feedback from you all on how you would envision an ideal Agile team that’s 100% responsible for both the database and UI side of things.
