Greetings devs or business peeps,

To keep things concise, I would like to start a company and create a “simple” social media management platform like Buffer, CoSchedule, HootSuite, etc.

I have no coding experience and am actually a marketer by trade.

I see some market gaps that can be filled in terms of the existing functionality and wanted to create a free MVP version similar to Buffer’s free plan with basic post scheduling, main social media api integrations, and a few other unique features.

Just looking for some tips on where to start.

My initial options seem to be:

  • potentially white labeling (reseller) of an existing platform to build a customer base before any custom dev takes place
  • create my own via a codeless or lowcode development platform (if even possible for an MVP)
  • Pay a developer to build the MVP
  • Find a dev to be a partner and co-founder for equity stake (“No dev would want to co-own a project with a noob like you*”)

*I am indeed a business noob but head marketing for a SaaS fintech at the moment and have had great success *borat voice*.

Thanks in advance.
