Help with a school project?

Hey guys and girls 🙂

I need your help with a school project. I’m going to design a database of hot peppers/chilies. As in the design process from specification to delivery and maintenance.

It’s a pure thought experiment, so I’m not guaranteeing a product will ever be made.

What I need from you is user stories on what the perfect hot pepper database would do, how it functions.

A good user story is short (one sentence) and describes:

The users role

What the user needs to be able to do

What the result of the action is

IE: “As a chef I’d like to be able to find recipes I can make based on the chili I picked up at the market this morning”

“As a user of the database I’d be able to add a comment to a pepper because I’ve eaten it so other users can find out what it tastes like/how hard it burns”

“As a chili grower I’d be able to add a chili I’ve grown to the database so other users can know of its existence”

I have a selection of use cases in my head that I’ll write down and use. But I’d like a lot of user stories from everyone, regardless of if you’re into chilies, software dev, cooking or whatever.

The process has a tight schedule, I have to deliver a document on Tuesday sep 10, so I’ll write the last user story into the document on Sunday sep 8. The whole process has to be finished sometime in the middle of October, and I’ll try to publish the end result sometime in the beginning of Nov. my exam is in the last week of October.

“As a teenager I’d be able to sort the peppers by hotness so I can see what to prank my friends with”… 😉
