Is there an ‘airtasker’ for software development? What about IP?

Hi Software People

I have been trying to do some digging on this for my stepspon and gone down many rabbit holes, probably a bit overwhelmed atm.

My stepson has an idea for an application. Or maybe just some sort of API that can be leveraged by existing applications. His idea not extremely straightforward, but probably not massively complicated either. I know a little of software development, maybe just enough to have some idea, not much more.

Is there are something like a ‘airtasker’ for software development? I fully realize he could actually use airtasker, but is there a specific platform for this sort of thing? He would want some sort of structure to the arrangement.

I would think if there is, there would be a standard terms of service stating that whatever idea is developed remains property of the person that sought development. I cant imagine something like this doesnt exist, but, what do i know? 🙂
