Language for development

Hi Reddit community.

At the end of this year I will be finishing my MBA and looking for the next challenge in my life. Ideally I would like to start a business that either streamlines a process, aggregates a bunch of tasks, or solves a major problem. I have a few ideas floating around that will utilise some type of interface or software. However, I would need to build this from scratch.

I was wondering, what type of development language would be most suitable for developing some form of online / cloud based interface or accompanying mobile app. I’ll look to learn this early next year and apply it to building out a platform I think would really help.

A little about me, I come from a marketing / economics background and my MBA is in business strategy. I understand very basic code (HTML) for website development but tend to use Dreamweaver to help with this (I can hear the yells from here using that program). So I kind of understand coding at a very elementary way – just don’t know where to start when it comes to software development and what language to use.

I should note, this will be for front end and back end so full stack I guess? And will be for the dev of a minimal viable product so I can test on users / try and get funding / try and find a partner.

Any insights that can be provided would be greatly appreciated!
