So, today, I had to call a travel agency and they had a very long queue time. took 1 hour just to be redirected to another function of their team that does cancellations. Another 45 minutes to talk to cancellation agent and for some reason it just hang up.
Anyway, I had to do another call same thing as mentioned above. No success…
I think their load is like a DDOS attack to a website. They cannot handle so many people cancelling.
There’s this company in Canada called Teksavvy that has a superb customer service. What they do, is they call you back instead to avoid us having to wait in line.
This is what inverse of control pattern is. Instead of me calling you, I call you back.
This can be further applied to calls done for health assessment for COVID-19. Wonder why not a lot of companies do this? I heard there is a mobile COVID-19 testing unit in USA…. Thats another sample.
