Hello,

I’m just wondering if you made similar experience. We are doing in our company a new project. Everything is new the tool, environment and how we work together. Of course going agil with scrum.

Unfortunately I have the feeling it sometimes just sucks. The estimations are in storypoints and it is completely unclear how many points a team member should do. Also simple but large tasks are getting less SP since they are not complex. But what really sucks is the attitude to get the Story Points done. So if you see messy code and you know you should refactore everything for few days, you rather continue the anti pattern to get the points. Especially since a refactoring wasn’t planed … of course there are exceptions. And then there is the scrum master who really looks that everyone is doing what is in the backlog. Not bad. On the other hand – some nice ideas or refactoring fall short. Except they are planned… Also there is no clear dev lead. The scrum master takes a bit that role. But who is deciding over performance of team members? Who is the lead? Who fires or hires if necessary?I mean there is kind of a lack in power, that is being filled by the wrong people – at least in our case. So would love to hear your experiences!

So what is your experience?
